Here's a great 7" by a French band that has surprisingly passed under the radar. I mean, really, this is great stuff. All three members of Vienna contributed vocals on the brilliant Martin Dupont album, "Hot Paradox" (tracks: He Saw The Light, Where To Find It).This record was produced by Rico Conning who has done remixes for a few big bands, including Depeche Mode. Great female vocals, sounding a bit similar to something like X-Mal Deutschland or something else that isn't coming to mind at the moment. The use of instrumentation is outstanding, at least for my tastes. Just listen to the bassline/guitar on the title track. Not to outshine the b-side, which is also a dark synth gem. Got to check this one out!
I have another Vienna 7" titled "Say You Love Me (Tu As Juré)" from 1984, which I will probably rip as well, to be posted later. For now, enjoy!
