Easily one of the scarcest items to surface on this blog. This French cassette was limited to only 100 copies. Despite featuring the likes of well-known bands like Deux, this tape has gone mostly unnoticed. That should change quickly, as this one's rather impressive throughout. The best contributions are that of Collision Expérimentale and the Bauhaus-esque Avant Post, but every band here adds a little something... for everyone. Enjoy!

ReplyDeletewooow amazing find - i'll try to make a cut and paste work later today
ReplyDeleteHi there, little comment here...Track B8 of this tape is "Voices and cries". Behind 'A Joyce concept' is the French Cold Wave band Formes Nouvelles. I am releasing a CD Compilation of Formes Nouvelles on my own Second Hand Daylight Records/SHDR label. Link is here:

Track 14 as you can see...
The CD is out of stock for the moment but it will be repressed next year.
Honestly,

Also, to add something more. This tape has been compiled by Gérard Pelletier from DEUX. Apparently he said to me it was linked to a magazine. Forgot the name of it.
ReplyDeleteMost of the bands except The grief and Deux are bands from my city, Marseille (France). Some were rehearsing at the same local (in the "La pomme" quarter).
I own this tape. The first owner of my copy was Didier Chaix, one guy from UDVP (utilisation du vieux port). A small french cold wave/industrial band who helped this tape to be spread here and there.
Sincerly,
Rigeck
