Nice 7" from the United States here. Radio Berlin was formed in 1981 by members of the band Futurisk (from my home state of Florida ;D). They released this 7'' and the track "Go Down" on a local compilation before dissapearing. Some pretty interesting lyrics on this one, I'm sure you'll see what I mean. Plenty of raw, analog synth as well. Enjoy.
Track List:
A1 - Gare Du Nord
B1 - Dance The Youth
B2 - Political Pop

You're my hero, saw this incredibly rare minimal synthwave EP on sale at discogs once but couldn't afford it at the time. :(
Thanks a million for posting it!

- Why? Do you really think we've left a single cheap copy left in the net or shops? Or are you one of these collectors paying lousy US sellers ridiculously ammounts for totaly over-priced vinyls? It's really no need feeding especially those newcomers from high school with hard-earned $$$ ...
Dead link...
Could you re upload please??
thanks
dead link! i really would like to download it! can you upload it again, please?
I'm friends/work with the lead singer of this band...he's in Virginia now. Craaaaazy
No. You are probably friends with the lead singer of Futurisk. Radio Berlin spun off from Futurisk. The lead singer of Radio Berlin, Frank Lardino, still lives in Florida.
...are you sure? I'll ask the guy, but I am almost 97.4% positive that it's the real guy...I'll check!
hello and thanks for a great blog, really does get the memory working back to some wonderful sounds. futurisk are awesome, never heard of them before, apparently they have a comp cd out, have you got it? cheers, jp
I was the drummer in Radio Berlin (1981-1983 and also Futurisk (1980-1981).
If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.
I was the drummer (Vinnie) in Radio Berlin from its founding in 1981 to 1983.
Somewhere I have a small box of this EP, all mint.
I knew Jeff the bass player from High School, and Mike and Frank thru Jeff during our years with Futurisk before we left.
A great bunch of musicians as well as friends.
