The Toy Shop - The Maze (1981)

Here's a rather scarce minimal synthpop release from the UK that, for reasons unknown to me, sells for a lot of money on eBay. Last I saw it went for almost $300. Who are you people out there willing to pay that for a 7-inch? Wouldn't you prefer a nice vacation or something? Just kidding of course, I've wasted my fair share on plenty of dusty presses. In any case, as there may be a few out there wanting to hear this one, here it is! Synthy fun in the vein of early DM, etc. Enjoy!

Track List:

A - The Maze
B - Live Wires Kill

Thanks for posting this treasure, very good but oh so expensive! Meanwhile their other release, "Attack Decade" sells for less than $10... unless that's another band called the Toy Shop from 1981 as well lol.

I liked this. Goofy grinning synth-pop. Excellent :)

If any-one was unaware, Mick Milk has his own website now apparently with downloads of cool stuff.

...treasure?Am i the only one who considers this one way more goofy than it should?
It's like they've just discovered what a keyboard is...
if people prefer that one compared to Silent Ambition posted merely previously,
then something's definetely going way too wrong,lol...

thank you.
is it me or the cover features the walking man from 'mute records' logo?

I actually enjoyed this more than the previous post. While the silent ambition is good, it sounds like way too many other things I have heard before.

The B side is my favourite. Perhaps inspired by The Normal's - T.V.O.D. Excellent!
